Gas Fees, also called Network Fees, are a fundamental part of how blockchain and cryptocurrencies work. This page helps you understand what those fees are, why they exist, and who they go to. At CosmoTitan, we are committed to complete transparency, so you always know exactly what you're paying for.
What Are Gas Fees?
Every time you do something on a blockchain — like sending cryptocurrency or creating a token — it needs to be processed and recorded. This work is done by decentralized computers called validators (or miners, depending on the network). These validators confirm your actions and add them to the blockchain.
To reward validators for their work and to keep the network running smoothly, users pay a small fee called a gas fee. You can think of it like a delivery or processing fee — similar to how you pay shipping when buying something online or a convenience fee when booking a ticket.
Gas fees vary depending on how busy the blockchain is at that moment and how complex your request is. CosmoTitan does not control these fees — they are determined by the blockchain itself.
Gas Fees During Token Creation
When you create a cryptocurrency token using CosmoTitan, you’ll encounter two main types of gas fees. These are standard blockchain costs that go directly to the network validators, not to CosmoTitan.
1. Service Fee Payment
Before we deploy your token, you’ll be asked to pay a Service Fee — this is CosmoTitan’s charge for providing the tools and services that help you create your cryptocurrency token.
When you pay the Service Fee using your wallet, it initiates a blockchain transaction. That transaction requires a gas fee — this is called the Service Fee Payment Gas Fee. This fee goes to the blockchain validators, not to us. In the near future, you'll be able to purchase multiple CosmoTitan Platform Credits in a single transaction, allowing you to pay the gas fee just once upfront — instead of paying gas every time you create a token or perform other blockchain actions on our platform.
2. Cryptocurrency Creation
Once your payment is confirmed, CosmoTitan will deploy your cryptocurrency token’s smart contract to the blockchain. This is where your token is officially created and becomes live on the network.
This process, depending on your selected features (like minting, burning, access control, upgradeability, etc.), may involve multiple blockchain transactions. Each transaction may incur its own gas fee. These gas fees are known collectively as the Deployment Gas Fees and are also paid directly to blockchain validators.
Summary of Fees
Here’s a breakdown of the gas-related fees you may encounter during the token creation process:
Fee | Description | Recipient |
---|---|---|
Service Fee | The fee paid to CosmoTitan for using our token creation platform | CosmoTitan |
Service Fee Payment Gas Fee | Gas fee for processing your Service Fee payment transaction | Blockchain Validators |
Deployment Gas Fees | Gas fees for deploying your token smart contract and related features | Blockchain Validators |
Final Notes
We display an Estimated Total Cost on the token creation page. This cost includes estimated gas fees based on current network conditions, but final costs may differ at the time of transaction.
Gas fees are dynamic and can vary based on how busy the blockchain network is and how complex your token’s smart contract is. The estimates we provide are meant to give you a general idea of current network costs — but the final gas fees are determined by the blockchain at the moment your transaction is processed.
Thank you for choosing CosmoTitan to bring your cryptocurrency project to life!
